Spending Bill Contains Directive to Limit “Milk” to Dairy Products

The omnibus spending bill passed by Congress contained a paragraph referencing a House agriculture appropriations subcommittee report directing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to develop a standard of identify for dairy products derived from animals.  Dairy producers hailed the action, but plant based "milk" producers saw little significance in the action.  [3/23/18]
