Researchers Show that Computers May Be Hacked By Encoding Software into DNA

Researchers from the University of Washington have demonstrated that it’s possible to encode malicious software into physical strands of DNA, so that when a gene sequencer analyzes the DNA, the resulting data corrupts the gene-sequencing software and ultimately takes over the underlying computer.
