NJ Appeals Court Reverses $25 Million Accutane Verdict Against Hoffmann-LaRoche

The New Jersey Appellate Division on Tuesday reversed a $25 million jury verdict against Hoffmann-LaRoche Inc. on statute of limitations grounds, after holding that Alabama limitations period, rather than New Jersey limitations period, applied.  The jury found for plaintiff Andrew McCarroll, who claimed the acne drug Accutane was responsible for the inflammatory bowel disease that led to the loss of his colon.
