Ninth Circuit Flips $81 Million Iraq Chemical Negligence Case for Want of Jurisdiction

The Ninth Circuit reversed an $81 million judgment that members of the Oregon National Guard members had won against KBR, Inc. in a negligence case involving hazardous chemicals in Iraq.  The Ninth Circuit found that the Oregon trial court lacked personal jurisdiction, citing the Supreme Court’s decision in Walden v.
