Maryland High Court Rules Pediatrician Can Testify on Medical Causation, But Not Source of Lead Exposure

The Maryland Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court, has ruled in the context of a lead paint case, that a pediatrician, although not a specialist in lead exposure, could testify that lead exposure caused a plaintiff’s medical conditions, but could not (based on circumstantial evidence) testify as to the source of that exposure.
