Judge Says Glyphosate-Cancer Link “Shaky,” But Appears Ready to Allow Trial

Judge Vince Chhabria of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California called a UCLA epidemiologist's testimony that glyphosate -- the active chemical in Roundup herbicide -- causes cancer "shaky" and "dubious," but nonetheless appeared to let the epidemiology testify to a jury in multistate litigation involving the claims of hundreds of farmers and landscapers that the chemical caused them to develop non-Hodgkins lymphoma.  [3/16/18]
