GM Moves to Dismiss Proposed Cyber Flaw Class Action

General Motors LLC moved to dismiss a proposed nationwide class action accusing it and other automakers of selling cars that contain security flaws that could allow hackers who could hypothetically take control of a car’s computer system, arguing that the suit is premised on a theoretical situation, that the lead plaintiff did not allege that his cars do not work as intended, and that the lead plaintiff hasn’t proffered facts showing that he wouldn’t have purchased his car had he known of the security flaw.
