General Mills Seeks to Stay Trans-Fat Case Pending FDA Rulemaking

General Mills Inc. asked a court to dismiss or stay a putative class action alleging that it had violated California's unfair competition law, created a public nuisance and breached an implied warranty of merchantability by selling baking mixes containing partially hydrogenated oil. General Mills argued that the court should await regulatory action by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. [7/15/15]
