FDA Wins Permanent Injunction Against Laser Manufacturer

Chief Judge Jeffrey Viken of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota has granted a permanent injunction prohibiting QLasers PMA and 2035 PMA from manufacturing or distributing “QLaser” low-level laser devices. FDI says the devices have not received its approval and have been promoted with false and misleading claims that they treat cancer, cardiac arrest, HIV/AIDS, diseases and disorders of the eye and ear, venereal disease, diabetes and many other health conditions.
