Additional producers voluntarily recall canned fish and seafood products

Two additional seafood and fish producers recently issued voluntary recalls of their canned fish products because they have the potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, a bacterium that can cause life-threatening illness or death. OleBob's Seafoods of Ilwaco, Washington is voluntarily recalling ALL canned tuna and canned salmon products with a code starting with "OC." Gilmore Fish of Dallesport, Washington is also voluntarily recalling all canned Gilmore Fish brand fish, with any codes starting with "OC." These include gourmet smoked Columbia sturgeon, fresh packed Pacific salmon, and gourmet smoked Chinook salmon. Consumers are warned not to use the products even if they do not look or smell spoiled.
